OUTLINE
A start-to-finish demonstration, from image analysis to masking to B&W fine art processing, for 3 different image types: landscape, architecture, and portraiture. The 3 demonstrations will reveal the differences in approach and the similarities. At the same time, some shorter demonstrations will show some of the most common mistakes to avoid in the field that will negatively affect the workflow behind the computer.
Main topics:
- Analysis: Deciding how to mask and process the image
-
Masking:
- What to look for in the field to make masking better and easier
- What to mask or not and better alternatives
- How to mask fast and smart
- Conversion: best conversions for the ideal starting point > keep it simple
-
Adjustments > keep it smart
- What to look for in terms of contrast. Increasing contrast selectively only
- Creating Depth in simple planes and complicated shapes/objects
- Using intersected luminosity masks with hard masks for subtle control and revealing details/contrasts selectively
3 types of images:
- Architecture
- Landscape
-
Portrait or wildlife

Levels
All levels, from beginners to intermediates and experienced. If you’re a beginner, it is highly recommended to have at least basic Photoshop knowledge, as this webinar will not go into Photoshop basics. It assumes a basic understanding of Photoshop.
A generic processing class, not a plugin demonstration
This webinar is NOT about using the Artisan Pro or Quick Mask Pro plugins, but they form an important part of the webinar to speed up the workflow and demos. All demonstrations can be done with Photoshop only, and you will get an overview of how to map the panel steps to PS steps before the start of the webinar with a short video.
