Rome-Milan Multi-City Premium Workshop
Decoding Fine Art & Celebrating the Architecture Design
Multi-City Premium: 2 Cities + 1 | 6 Days + 1
After the Dual City Workshop in Spain, we are now announcing a 6-day Fine-art architectural photography workshop from October 9 to October 14, 2025, in Rome and Milan in Italy. With a 7th 'tag-along non-workshop day' in a ’surprise’ location on October 15.
After attending this workshop, with like-minded people in an inspiring (and fun) group, you will have gained valuable insights into fine art and architectural photography that go far beyond the superficial and the mainstream. Read some testimonials here for an impression. And read here more about the concepts behind the City Workshops.
Introducing Two New Workshop Types
Having made a comeback after 10 years by conducting successful workshops in Berlin and then in Barcelona/Madrid/Valencia, Joel Tjintjelaar is announcing another multi-city architecture workshop that is further refined and elevated. We have also renamed it to Multi-City Premium Workshops to reflect our objectives. Simultaneously, we are introducing a more compact City Weekend workshop in Hamburg in August 2025. See here for more background info and here for the Compact City Weekend workshop.
1-3-7 - 1 workshop - 3 locations - 7 days
137 is known as the magic number, and it's no coincidence I'm using it here. It's synchronicity. During the workshop, you will find out more and why. We will start in Rome and photograph there for the first 2 days. On the morning of day 3, we will travel together by high-speed train to Milan (3-hr ride) to continue the workshop there. After the official workshop days, it is highly recommended to join Joel to explore more in Italy on the non-workshop tag-along (7th) day in a very interesting surprise location.
The workshop on location in Italy is preceded by a 4-hour pre-workshop Zoom session to prepare optimally for Italy. As a Post-workshop, there will be 2 processing and Image review Zoom sessions. Possibly followed by a bonus 3rd session.
Strictly Artistic
We never visit the ubiquitous landmarks anywhere in the world, instead, we will have a meaningful mix of architectural structures that carry historical, cultural, or aesthetic meaning to understand and emphasize the importance of an emotional connection with what we wish to photograph and express. In other words, we are not looking for pretty Instagram images, but for structures to connect with emotionally and express ourselves artistically. Practical information is below.
PRACTICAL INFORMATION
TOPICS & THEMES
A theme is the recurring topic in a workshop. Theme for this workshop: Helping you find your unique 'voice' through individuation. Read more about the topics and themes in our workshops here
